Balayage and ombre hair have become increasingly popular in the last couple of years. Balayage is a French word meaning to sweep or paint. When you ask for balayage at the salon, the hair stylist will paint sections of your hair freehand for natural looking highlighted hair that is lighter at the bottom than the top. With balayage, the transition between the lighter and darker sections is usually longer than with ombre and offers a more natural look.
Ombre hair is similar to balayage, however the results are more dramatic. All of the ends are highlighted using the balayage technique and the transition between the hair colours is shorter. Ombre is more about horizontal placement of the hair colour with blending upwards to diffuse the line of colour.
All of our balayage and ombre hair packages include toning for the perfect colour, leave in treatment for healthy hair and a style cut and finish.
